Be Something. Be Social. Be Happy.

Dream, Make a Wish, and Act on It

To dream is to wish, to wish is to set a goal for yourself of what you, no body else, but what you want to be doing or become at some point in your life. No matter who you are, where you are from, or what you are, you too can dream, you too can make a wish, and set a goal for yourself, whatever that might be, and act on it. You can’t just dream and make a wish, you have to act on it, and do whatever it takes to make it happen.

Just sit back for a minute, and ask yourself; what is it that you really want in your life? What is it that you need to do in order to get what you want? What does it take and how long will it take for you to get it? Then make a move; go get it.

The only difference between you and the guy next door who is living his dream, the guy who you be starring at, dissing and hating, it’s because he did whatever needed to make his dream and wish come true, while you haven’t. You simply sat back and watch it go by, you got lazy, you got scared to go out there and make it happen.

Don’t stop dreaming, but don’t just dream and wish for things to automatically happen for you the way you want them, you have to do whatever it takes to make it happen. No body else can do it for you but you.

You only get one chance in life, so make every minute count!

What’s Your Dream, As Inspired by Clarence

So you have a dream, now what?

Well, everyone else in the world has a dream, in fact, we all have our dreams of the things we want to do in our lives, and the only difference between you and the guy next door is about what you do now, right now, in order to make your dream come true.

If you sit back and simply say; ” I have a dream”, but don’t do anything to cause your dream to come true, then it never will. In fact, 40 or 60 years from now, you will still be saying “I have a dream”, but by then, you’ll be sitting on your patio, if you’d have one, with grey hair, still lauding your dream to everyone who passes by, down the street.

What you do today, right now, may help make your dream come true tomorrow. It’s all up to you to do whatever it takes now in order to make your dream come true.

Stop smoking weed and cigarettes, stop drinking alcohol, stop chasing men and women, stop partying and clubbing, stop the chat, get off Facebook or Twitter for a minute and take a moment, sit back and evaluate yourself, think about the things you need to do in order to make your dream come true and do it, don’t just think about it, make a move and do it. You are immensely endowed with great potential, act to realize yours.

What’s your dream?

Making the Best Out of the Worst, Especially Right Now

Someone once told me that the start is always the easiest but is the end that counts the most. So, whatever it is that you are doing, people will always appreciate how you start, but will always remember how you finish.

Well, for me, it’s been a long journey trying to find my pitch, my niche, and I believe I found it now. Since August 2008, I’ve embarked on a project that seemed nearly impossible, in a crowded market economy. But I’ve always believed in myself, and the power of being creative, to find the best out of the worst, even when most of us may seem to be out of luck due to our current economy. But I believe the best is yet to come. I think I can truly say so, because being an economics student here at OSU, and in Spring 2010, I hope to start my PhD program in Economics, I strongly believe that our economy will turn around sooner than we think, and no matter where you are or whatever you are doing, you can make the best out of anything, especially right now.

I am a strong believer, always have been. I believe that each and every one of us have certain God given, unalienable gifts and talents, and it’s up to each and everyone of us to go all the way and explore how to maximize our potential in order to make our dreams come true.

In August 2008, my team and I started working on my new project, Welated (www.welated.com), and it seemed almost impossible making it and developing it to become an actual, viable entity with an actual business model that doesn’t just depend on paid ads like other social networking sites, and I have to say that, with God’s help, I think finally made it happen. Welated is now done, fully functional, and I am very excited about it. We started testing it on January 2009, under a certain code name, and over 8,000 people signed up within just two months, and that was amazing.

We’re now migrating the site from the testing alpha to beta mode, it is a combination of Facebook, MySpace, and Hi5.com, all in one. We combined all the cool tools you’ll find on most of your favorite social networking sites and place them in one easy-to-use Welated platform.

However, Welated has a creative twist to it, that’s, instead of simply offering traditional social networking tools, Welated offers an innovative platform that allows users to keep track of what their lovers are doing at any given time. That’s, a Welated user can instantly know if her or his wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend is being unfaithful and more, anywhere. I purposely founded Welated to help people learn more about each other’s dating history, interests, and activities, so that no one can ever say; I wish I only knew.

Please, take some time and check out Welated at www.welated.com, sign up, it’s free, and take a tour of the site, experiment with the tools on the site, and please let me know what you think. You can always delete your account at any time if you decide not to stay registered, and feel free to search for my name on the site and connect with me.

Feel free to Welated me at; http://www.welated.com/profile.php?user=simon

So You Can, Stupid, Just Try!

Hey you, stupid, if you ever wanted something in your life, whatever it is, and you haven’t gotten it yet, it’s because you simply don’t want it. But if you really want it, then go get it. No what it is, no matter how long it takes, just go do it, don’t quit and don’t give up on what you really want.

Anything is possible, but only if you strongly believe, only if you try, don’t just say you want it, you have to get up and go get it, no matter what it takes, just get up, and go get it, don’t hold back, don’t be shy, and don’t worry about what anybody else is saying. It’s your life, you have to do what you want in your life, you have to do it for you, for yourself, may be for your family, for your community, or for your country.

Just know this; nobody is going to do it for you. Don’t expect anyone to do it for you, and even if you ask or pay someone to do it for you, they will never do it for you exactly the way you want it. You’ve got to be involved, you’ve got to be a participant, you’ve got to be there, it’s how you want it, the way you want it. So go get it. You are just a second away from getting there, just keep on trying.

Remember, a winner is just a big loser who never gave up. You can have it all, you can do it all, you can do anything, but only if you try harder, but smart. And, while you are trying to do it, don’t forget to say a prayer, to ask for help from the Mighty; it works, always, and it will work for you as well, just believe and go out there and do it, now.

Just remember, haste makes waste, so don’t get demoralized if it’s not working out the first time, just keep on trying, it’s already yours, just go out there, claim it, and get it.

Don’t give up, stop being stupid, go out there and get it!

Finally, my education

It’s been a great struggle for me since I was a kid just to get an education, and I’ve had many great successes and failures in my life since secondary school.

One of those successes were to achieving my secondary school education, and thereafter learning and studying Audio Engineering and later worked in audio for TV, Film and music production, where I have had many opportunities of meeting and working with many great people; from many different honorable heads of states such as Tony Blair, Mandela, Nujoma, Bush Sr., etc., to many celebrities, thanks to two great people, Mr. Engh and Mr. Stender in Denmark.

At the same time, like any normal human being, I’ve made many mistakes and have had many failures in my life, and one of these mistakes or regrets were how I created WEA, not its vision and goal, because its vision and goal were and I still foresee them as something vital for many, and although it had done good for many, it also has had its shares of mistakes, simply because; I just didn’t know any better, in terms of initially setting it up, its organizational structure, functions, operations and strategy in order to making it live up to its mission.

However, I am so humbly excited now, because I am finally going to graduate in 2008 from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, with interest in Econometrics. This is the best thing that has ever happened to me, finally getting my education. It’s better than anything I have ever done in my life, and I am so graciously happy and proud of myself, because I never knew that I would have a chance.

I know that with this education and the knowledge I have amassed from a large body of one of the greatest minds in the world, OSU, this will greatly enable me to do things at utmost best, in terms of business related, and I guarantee you that from here on, as long as I breathe, expect greater things from me.

I have always wanted to go back to college, but I always had to work to support my family, and I didn’t have the time needed to fully commit myself to studying, but the last 5 years have been incredibly productive for me, which has enabled me to focus on my education, thanks to God, my wife, family and friends for believing in me.

Today, October 10, is my birthday, as well as for my daughter, Cinnamon. I am just so thankful for everything, and I am humbly thankful for my Lord Jesus Christ who made this day, a special day, just for me and my daughter.

Well, back to my study, I have a German quiz tomorrow. The funny thing is; English is the second foreign language I had to learn and now that I am studying German, I am starting to lose my English, because whenever I learn a new foreign language, I tend to forget the other language.
